Temperature to be used
Data shown in the catalog on load, etc are based on measurements made at room temperature(40A or less), and depending on various conditions, use at temperatures above room temperature may lead to a reduction in load and the number of cycles for durability.
The products are to be used in temperatures of 80°C or less. The heat resistance temperature(round wire:120°C, irregular wire:200°C)for springs is higher that the temperatures for use, but a great reduction in functionality is expected at temperatures above the temperatures for use.Except Stainless type.
For the maximum allowable deflection of a heatproof spring at high temperature, see the table on the page at right.

Coil spring painting
MISUMI coil springs are painted for identification and to prevent corrosion.

Allowable deflection
Do not use with a greater deflection than the maximum values or load and durability will be reduced, and may result in breakage.
If round wire coil springs have even a single stroke larger than the maximum deflection, the L dimension is reduced.
